Our Services
Virginia Workforce Centers offer two levels of service, depending upon a person’s needs and qualifications for services. Basic Career Services are available to all customers, while Individualized Career Services are available to individuals who meet eligibility requirements for participation in a WIOA Program. Who can use a Virginia Workforce Center? Anyone looking to improve their career options is eligible for basic career services. Participation in individualized career services requires that individuals meet eligibility criteria for one of the following groups:
- A dislocated worker, meaning someone who has been laid off in Virginia and meets the eligibility requirements for the dislocated worker program, including individuals who participated in a Rapid Response.
- An adult (18+) who is unemployed or underemployed. (When funding is limited, priority is given to recipients of public assistance and individuals who are low-income.)
- A youth (14-24) who is either In-School or Out-of-School at the time of enrollment in the WIOA Youth Program, and is a youth who has multiple barriers to education and/or employment.
