Success Stories

VDOLI6Registered Apprenticeship Graduate
“My Apprenticeship is a blessing. I was a battered single mother of two small children wondering how I could start my life all over again. I began submitting applications and within weeks my life was changed. A full time job, paid training to receive a skill set most don’t have, all while earning an Associate’s Degree. All these things contribute to me having a successful career path with numerous options for my future, and being able to set an example for my children.”

VDOLI8Voluntary Protection Program
“The transition to the VPP program has not only allowed us to improve workplace safety but also recruit people to new positions who are more qualified and have a more extensive background in safety and health that allow them to blend in seamlessly with the workplace culture that we have now.”

Mike LaPradd – Huber Engineered Woods

VDOLI71Employer Sponsors
“Our idea in the beginning was for it to help others, but we found out that it helps us to have the Apprenticeship program as well. It gives credibility to those that are using it as a career path because we do have that structured environment and program that will allow us to compete for that employee who will add value to our organization.”

VDOLI9VOSH Conference
“…Coming to the VOSH Conference has been an eye opening experience actually. We have received a great deal of the information that we look for as auditors, just a wealth of information that we know exists, but we don’t know where to find things all the time so this has been really good.”
