Mark A. Herzog is Vice President of Corporate Affairs at kaléo, a Richmond-based pharmaceutical company dedicated to building innovative solutions for serious and life-threatening medical conditions. He has more than 14 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical and clinical laboratory industries.

He was appointed by Governor Terry McAuliffe as Chairman of the Virginia Board of Workforce Development, effective July 1, 2015. Mark served as vice chairman of the board from 2013-2015, and has experience as a member of workforce investment boards for the City of Richmond and the Greater Richmond region. He was appointed by Governor Tim Kaine to the Governor’s Economic Development Strategic Planning Steering Committee in 2006 and by Governor Robert F. McDonnell to the Governor’s Economic Development and Job Creation Commission in 2010. He is a member of the Board of Visitors of George Washington’s Mount Vernon and the Board of Trustees of the Historic Richmond Foundation, where he chairs the committee on governance.

Mark earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
